Manufacturing Engineering Process Technician – B-Shift:
Night Shift: Monday – Thursday 4:00PM to 2:30AM (overtime shift on Friday 4:00PM to 10:00PM)
REPORTS TO: Technical Resources Manager
SUMMARY: Responsible for providing technical process support for the Manufacturing Engineering and production teams. Provide support with process improvements, equipment support, and training. Coordinate activities with the preceding/successive shifts and communicate between shifts.
Qualifications:
- Two-year electronics, mechanical, or manufacturing engineering technology degree, related major, or equivalent experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Experience with automated manufacturing equipment preferred.
- Understanding of basic Microsoft software required
- Good technical writing and verbal communication skills. Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
- Physical Requirements:
- Lift and carry up to 45 pounds.
- Distinguish and identify colors
- Ability to work with odors
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Ability to interact with a variety of personnel in a positive and professional manner.
- Wear all proper protective equipment as required in work area in accordance with Safety Policy and OSHA standards.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
(E) = Essential Duties
- (E) Provide technical assistance to production team, including but not limited to, interpreting assembly documentation and production standards
- (E) Program, set-up, operate, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment throughout the facility
- (E) Assist in training of production associates in machine operation and proper use of tools and equipment to maintain proper process controls.
- (E) Design, fabricate, and implement tooling and fixturing for use on the production floor.
- (E) Work with direction from Engineering on upcoming production projects to meet deadlines
- (E) Identify and implement suggestions for product and process improvements
- (E) Analyze defect data to determine root cause and prevent problems from reoccurrence.
- (E) Document experiments and equipment updates as defined by the standard process.
- Participate in 5S, Lean, Kaizen, safety, and health programs when required.
- Perform other tasks or duties as assigned
- Hours may change from time to time, based on the needs of the company, to ensure full operation of equipment for all shifts. Work overtime when needed
