Manufacturing Engineering Process Technician – B-Shift:

Night Shift: Monday – Thursday 4:00PM to 2:30AM (overtime shift on Friday 4:00PM to 10:00PM)

REPORTS TO:  Technical Resources Manager 

 SUMMARY:  Responsible for providing technical process support for the Manufacturing Engineering and production teams.  Provide support with process improvements, equipment support, and training.  Coordinate activities with the preceding/successive shifts and communicate between shifts.

Qualifications:

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

(E) = Essential Duties

  1. (E) Provide technical assistance to production team, including but not limited to, interpreting assembly documentation and production standards
  2. (E) Program, set-up, operate, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment throughout the facility
  3. (E) Assist in training of production associates in machine operation and proper use of tools and equipment to maintain proper process controls.
  4. (E) Design, fabricate, and implement tooling and fixturing for use on the production floor.
  5. (E) Work with direction from Engineering on upcoming production projects to meet deadlines
  6. (E) Identify and implement suggestions for product and process improvements
  7. (E) Analyze defect data to determine root cause and prevent problems from reoccurrence.
  8. (E) Document experiments and equipment updates as defined by the standard process.
  9. Participate in 5S, Lean, Kaizen, safety, and health programs when required.
  10. Perform other tasks or duties as assigned
  11. Hours may change from time to time, based on the needs of the company, to ensure full operation of equipment for all shifts.  Work overtime when needed
